La galleria Factory-Art contemporanea presenta la mostra personale dell’artista argentina Elena Nieves.
In questa occasione Elena Nieves espone una serie di opere, quasi tutte inedite, realizzate su supporti vari che rappresentano un panorama della sua ricerca artistica piú recente.
Il concetto generale della mostra ruota attorno a tre elementi, la linea, l’ombra e la trasparenza, idee con le quali l’artista viene lavorando dagli ultimi quattro anni.
L’artista ha scelto la contundenza della linea omogenea per descrivere un mondo dove la natura, specialmente la vegetazione frondosa, è il tema principale. Eccetto alcune nelle quali si intravede una tenue tonalità di colore, la quasi totalità delle opere è in bianco e nero. Ed al essere acromatiche, questi boschi e vegetazioni diventano pura razionalità, si ubicano nel limite che cerca di definire l’indefinibile, trattenere ciò che fugge dagli spazi aperti, dove la figura si fonde con il fondo e si protende verso il vuoto suscitando una domanda più che una risposta.
Espone un insieme di opere di varie dimensioni: le piú grandi della mostra sono quelle realizzate con acrilico su tela, le più piccole quelle con inchiostro e acrilico su carta, poliestere e lastra di acrilico trasparente.
Presenta pure un’ installazione di opere piccole, di diverse misure, distribuite sulla parete in modo non casuale, quasi stessero dialogando le une con le altre.
Elena Nieves è nata a Buenos Aires, Argentina. Laureata alla Scuola Nazionale di Belle Arti di Buenos Aires. Le ultime esposizioni includono Dibujos al Museo Municipale di Arti Visuali, Santa Fe; Atraveando el vacío, Centro Culturale Borges, Buenos Aires.
The gallery Factory-Art contemporanea is pleased to present the solo exhibition by Argentinian artist Elena Nieves.
In this exhibition Elena Nieves featuring a new series of works that represent a view of her more recent artistic search.
The general concept of the show rotates around three elements, the line, the shade and the transparency, ideas with which the artist comes having been working for the last four years.
The artist has chosen the brend of the homogeneous line to describe a world where the nature, the leafy vegetation, is especially the principal theme. Except some in which a slim tonality of color is glimpse, her almost totality of the works is in black and white.
And to the being achromatic, these woods and vegetations become pure rationality, they are situated in the limit that tries to define the indefinable one, to hold back what runs away from the open spaces, where the figure him deep with the fund and it stretches out him toward the void arousing a question more than an answer.
It exposes a whole works of various dimensions: the greatest of the show are those realized with acrylic on canvas, the smallest those with ink and acrylic on paper, polyester and plate of acrylic transparency. Also introduces an installation of small works, of different measures, distribute on the wall in non casual way, the one were almost conversing with the others.
Elena Nieves was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, graduated from the National School of Fine Art in Buenos Aires. Recent exhibitions include Dibujos at Municipal Museum of Visual Art, Santa Fe and Atravesando el vacío at Borges Cultural Centre, Buenos Aires. |
