The gallery-Factory Contemporary Art is pleased to present the project "How much time do you have?" by artist Crastini Beatrice.

The work presented by Beatrice Crastini raises attention about the enormous amount of time we suffer passively waiting: on the phone, watching TV, in the queue at the post office, bank, cashier of the supermarket ...
Empty time, time lost, time that does not return.

Thus, for this particular project, the artist represent the life itself by choosing old chairs, and them are been used as a single subject / protagonist in achieving photographic sequences within a day.
As with her other works, the artist chooses everyday objects so worn that are not noticed and put them to the center of the project to redeem itself from oblivion.

So it born the photographic work "24 hours" (2008) where the same subject sculpted from light was obsessively taken for a sequence of a lot of poses in 24 hours. In the series thus obtained, the main sobject loses the identity at the expense of context because it is the passage of light with its inexorable change over time that captures the attention.

Still working on photographic sequences she has made short video with the music arranged herself.
"Burned Life (2008) is a video made in black and white with the atmosphere of the old film. The subject was placed in a bare and neutral space, only the light from a dormer window complaint over time creating the altelenante passage from day to night, from night to day in the eternal game ever sequencing.
"Ping Pong Life (2008) proposes small asynchronous sequences of steps of the historic manipulated computer game with the namesake. This video relates to the various steps that may happen during life and that you never know what does in its becoming.

La galleria Factory-Art contemporanea ha il piacere di presentare il progetto "How much time do you have?"  dell'artista triestina Beatrice Crastini.

Il lavoro presentato da Beatrice Crastini pone l'attenzione sull'enorme quantità di tempo che passivamente si subisce in attesa: al telefono, guardando la TV, in coda all'ufficio postale, in banca, alla cassa del supermercato...
Tempo vuoto, tempo perso, tempo che non ritorna.

Così, per questo specifico progetto, l'artista rappresenta la vita stessa scegliendo delle vecchie sedie, e le ha usate come unico soggetto/protagonista nel realizzare delle sequenze fotografiche nell'arco  di una giornata.
Come per altri lavori, l'artista sceglie oggetti di uso quotidiano talmente usurati che  normalmente non sono notati e li pone al centro dell'attenzione per riscattare l'oggetto stesso dall'oblio.

Nasce così il lavoro fotografico "24 ore" (2008) dove lo stesso soggetto scolpito dalla luce è stato  ossessivamente ripreso per una sequenza di molte pose nell'arco delle 24 ore. Nella serie così ottenuta, il soggetto perde l'identità a discapito del contesto in quanto è il passaggio della luce con il suo inesorabile cambiamento nell'arco del tempo che cattura l'attenzione.

Sempre lavorando su sequenze fotografiche ha poi realizzato dei corti con musiche da lei composte.
"Burned Life" (2008) è un video realizzato in bianco e nero con l'atmosfera della vecchia pellicola. Il soggetto è stato collocato in un ambiente spoglio e neutro, solo la luce da un abbaino denuncia il passare del tempo creando l'altelenante passaggio dal giorno alla notte, dalla notte al giorno nel sempre eterno gioco di sequenzialità.
"Ping Pong Life" (2008) propone invece piccoli asincroni passaggi di sequenze manipolate dello storico computer game dall'omonimo nome. Questo video si relaziona con i vari passaggi che possono capitare durante la vita e che non si sa mai cosa ci riserva nel suo divenire.

Ed è proprio la domanda posta dal titolo "Quanto tempo hai?" che ritorna incalzante a contro bilanciare i lavori presentati e che preme per essere ascoltata: siamo o non siamo padroni del nostro tempo?
